I find working in the shop very rewarding and relaxing. I do not collect machines, instead I buy machines that I can use.\u00a0I have had a few people ask me why I do not restore my older machines to their factory new state. As I can appreciate those that restore their machines to factory new condition including fresh paint, I prefer to improve them and keep them in good running order. There is no cursing then when I put a scratch in the paint!<\/p>\n<p>I prefer to spend my time using my improving, and using my equipment. I take good care of my pets, less the fresh coat of paint.<\/p>\n<p>In this throw-away society there is something to be said, to have the ability to repair or make something in your own shop. I get great joy spending 3 hours fixing something that could be replaced, or building a custom tool to finish a project.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to my metalworking home page.
